Check that the seat and the basket are empty first, because even a light item can catch on the frame and prevent the mechanism from closing fully. Press the fold release, then guide the frame down with both hands rather than forcing it shut with one. If it still will not fold, check that the front wheels are locked in the straight position, as a swivelled wheel can put pressure on the frame and stop the release from working properly. If the problem persists after checking all of these, the folding mechanism may need lubrication, and a small amount of silicone spray on the pivot points can restore smooth operation without damaging the surrounding materials.

Grit or a small stone lodged in one of the four wheels is the usual cause, and it is most noticeable when you feel a slight drag or hear a clicking sound as the wheel turns. Clear it with a dry brush rather than a wet one, and check that every wheel spins freely by lifting each end of the stroller in turn. If the pulling persists after cleaning, check that the front wheel mounts are tight and that the rear axle has not been bent by an impact with a kerb or step. On large rubber wheels, also inspect the tread for embedded objects like glass shards or metal splinters that may not be visible from the outside but affect the rolling direction.

Wipe it with a damp cloth rather than a wet one, and avoid soap or detergent on the stitched seam because these can dry out the leatherette and cause it to crack over time. Most marks come off without anything more than water, and a soft circular motion works better than rubbing back and forth. For stubborn marks, use a dedicated leatherette cleaner rather than a general purpose spray, and always test it on a small area first. If the leatherette has developed a sticky residue from hand cream or food, a small amount of talcum powder rubbed in gently can restore the smooth surface texture.

Set the hood in one of its panel positions rather than part way between two, because the frame that holds the canopy in place only locks at each stop. Ease it to the next position along and you should feel a slight click as the lock engages. If it still will not stay, check that the fabric of the canopy is not caught between the hood and the frame, and that the slider mechanism is free of grit or dried mud that might prevent it from clicking into place. On multi-panel canopies, each panel should move smoothly and independently, and if one panel is stiffer than the others, check its individual hinge for signs of wear or damage that may need professional attention.

Check that the buckle is not packed with grit, crumbs or dried mud, because even a small amount of debris can prevent the two halves from clicking together properly. Clear it out with a dry brush rather than poking it with a sharp object, and press the two halves together firmly; it should close with a firm click rather than a hard shove. If the buckle is worn or the spring mechanism feels loose, contact customer service for a replacement part rather than continuing to use it, because a buckle that does not close securely compromises the safety of the harness system.

Spot clean the fabric with a damp cloth rather than washing the cover in a machine, because the stitching and the shape of the seat can be damaged by the heat and agitation of a wash cycle. Most marks come out with water alone, and a small amount of mild soap can be used for tougher stains as long as you rinse it off with a clean damp cloth afterwards. Let the fabric dry fully at room temperature before you fold the frame, because folding a wet cover can cause mould and permanent creasing. For food stains on the seat liner, act quickly because dried-on food is much harder to remove than fresh.
