It is a small kettle for the corner of a desk or the end of a kitchen run, where the pour matters more than the volume: the spout is a long gooseneck that turns through 90° at the tip, so a tilt of the wrist produces a thin vertical stream over a dripper rather than a flood across it. Materials and Construction

The body is a tapered cylinder, wider at the foot than at the collar, finished in a matte black coat that leaves little reflection. The interior photographed in the cleaning graphic is brushed stainless steel, bright and uncoated, with the element plate visible at the floor. The collar carries a flat lid with a disc knob on a short stem, and the lid seats inside the rim rather than over it.

The spout is a drawn tube joined low on the wall, angled up and then turned through 90° at the mouth; the tip is cut square and finished in bright steel, which is the only polished metal on the object. The handle is a moulded loop anchored at the collar and at the waist, with a flat inner face and a bright steel cap at its lower end.

How It Works

The body is filled, set on the base, and started with the boil key. The display shows the water temperature in three digits, and the plus and minus keys step the target in 1 °F increments; the °C/°F key switches the scale. The supplier's graphics describe the control as accurate to ±1 degree and print a line reading ±1 °F / ±10 °F temperature control, so the fine step is one degree and the wider tolerance figure is quoted as published rather than reconciled here.

Five presets are printed with the base artwork: infant formula at 104 °F, hot chocolate at 158 °F, green tea at 176 °F, pour-over coffee at 197 °F and black tea at 212 °F. The same graphic states that one click selects the 197 °F coffee setting. Keep warm is a separate key at the left of the panel; no hold duration is published, so none is claimed.

The element is rated 1200 W and the graphics state a 3–5 minute boil. Automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection are both marked on the base artwork. The body lifts off the base to pour and can be set back at any rotation, and the panel stays with the base, so the reading is on the counter rather than in the hand.

Placement and Use

The footprint is small — 5.9 in across the front, 7.7 in deep — which suits a desk, a side table beside a grinder, or the last free corner of a counter. Leave clearance at the spout for a dripper and at the handle for the wrist, and keep the base on a dry surface: the panel is glass and the cradle is open at the seam where water runs.

• Fill before seating the body; the element plate sits close to the floor of the kettle.
• Dry the outside of the body before setting it back, so water does not run into the cradle contacts.
• Use the 197 °F preset for pour-over and step down for green tea rather than boiling and waiting.

Colours and Finishes

One colour is sold: black, listed as the only value on the variant. The body and lid are matte, the handle is a slightly glossier black, and the base frame is the same tone as the body so the two read as one object on the counter. The glass panel is the one gloss surface, and it is also the part that shows fingerprints.

The bright steel at the spout tip and at the lower end of the handle are the only interruptions in the black, and both are small. The interior is bare stainless, which is visible whenever the lid is off.

Care and Maintenance

Descale with white vinegar and water, as the cleaning graphic shows: the before and after views of the interior are the same brushed floor, one furred with scale and one clear. Stand the vinegar solution in the body, then run a fresh boil and rinse twice. The wall is stainless, so a soft brush is enough; abrasives dull the brushed grain.

Wipe the body with a damp cloth and dry the base panel with a soft one — the keys are membrane contacts under glass and do not want a wet cloth pressed across them. Neither body nor base is meant to be immersed. Keep the cradle and the contact ring dry between uses, and stand the body off the base when filling so water does not drip into the seam.
