Materials and Construction

The body is two stainless walls with a gap between them. The inner wall holds the water; the outer carries the coating and the printed panel. That gap keeps the outside from reaching the temperature of the contents, which is why the body can be steadied by hand on the side.

The lid sits on a steel collar with a thin bright rim, closed by a hexagonal knob and lifted off whole rather than hinged. The handle is a loop with a polished steel spine. The base is a separate corded plate, so the body can be carried to a table — the only sense in which this model is cordless.

How It Works

The panel carries a readout, five preset lines and two keys — one steps through the presets, the other starts and stops the element. They read Milk 40, Honey 60, Tea 80, Coffee 90 and Pure Tap 100, in Celsius. A preset sets the target; the element runs at full 2200 W until the sensor reads it.

No hold time is published, so the display is a stop point rather than a thermostat. Water set to 80 °C drifts down once the element cuts out, so brewing straight away is the practical routine.

At 2200 W a full body boils in roughly five to six minutes from cold tap water at 68 °F — an estimate from the rating, not a measured time.

Placement and Use

The base needs a level counter within reach of an outlet, with about 6 in above the lid to lift it clear. The plate is wider than the body, but the body must be fully seated before the key responds: contact is made at the centre coupling.

• Fill above the low mark before switching on; the element runs dry under an empty body.
• Keep the base clear of a hob or an air fryer vent.
• Dry the underside before setting it down — water in the coupling stalls the key.

Two keys rather than a dial keeps the front clean: the display shows the chosen figure, and the body carries nothing but the panel and its frame.

Care and Maintenance

Descale every four to six weeks in hard water — scale collects on the floor plate first and shows as a chalky patch that slows the boil. Equal parts white vinegar and water, twenty minutes, then a fresh boil and a rinse. Abrasive pads dull the coating, and neither body nor base may be immersed: the coupling and element are not sealed against standing water.

The panel sits behind a glass face, so the whole front wipes clean in one pass.
